Stewart Golf Announce New F1 Lithium Price
February 22, 2012
Stewart Golf’s flagship F1 Lithium remote control trolley is now available from a new price of £1,499.
Originally launched in 2008 at £2500, the British-made F1 Lithium has exceeded all expectations in terms of how many units Stewart Golf hoped to sell. This has meant that the original investment has been paid off ahead of schedule, so the retail price can be reduced to appeal to a broader market.
A key feature of the F1 Lithium is its three part folding chassis. When folded this occupies one third of the floor space and 40% less overall volume than the companies best selling X7 Lithium model. This allows it to fold small enough to fit in many small sports cars, including the famously impractical Porsche 911 which is featured in the video on the Stewart Golf website.
The F1 Lithium is unlike any other product on the market because the golf bag is an integral part of the structure of the machine, housing the handle of the trolley. The golf bag has been engineered to be totally rigid so it can support its own weight as well as the rigors of the golf course. There are now three designs of golf bag for the F1 of varying styles and sizes.
Stewart Golf MD Mark Stewart said, “We are really pleased that we have been able to bring the RRP of the F1 down to £1499. Whilst it is still the most expensive trolley available in the UK, the typical F1 Lithium customer considers value rather than price. As the smallest folding remote trolley on the market, the F1 Lithium fulfils a need that no other trolley can.”
Stewart Golf Double Christmas Sales
January 9, 2012
Gloucestershire based Stewart Golf have reported record breaking sales numbers for the 2011 Christmas period.
Continuing from strong sales performance over the 2011 golf season, Christmas sales (for November & December) increased by 108.5% when compared to Christmas 2010.
A number of offers were promoted via StewartGolf.com and through UK stockists. These included free cart bag with the X7 Lithium, half price winter wheels with the Z1 Push and free gifts with the waterproof stand bag.
Highlights of the period include:
-
Sales for the X7 Lithium more than quadrupled (compared to the X5 Remote, its predecessor).
-
Sales of the Z1 Push more than doubled, with an increase of 115%.
-
Waterproof Stand Bag sales increased by 88%.
-
Sales of the flagship F1 Lithium increased by 53%.
Stewart Golf MD Mark Stewart said, “Obviously we are thrilled with these results as they show a clear continuing upward trend in all key areas of the business.
“I am particularly pleased that the increase is not concentrated in one area, but spread across a number of products and also sales avenues. For example, UK trade sales rose by 2.7 times and exports also increased by 36%, in addition to a significant direct sales increase.
“Stewart Golf is a small team, and every member worked hard to record such impressive figures. We are now looking forward to a successful 2012, aiming to improve further on an outstanding 2011.”
Stewart Golf Announce Record Year
November 8, 2011
Gloucestershire based Stewart Golf have recorded their best ever year, reporting a 57% increase in sales of their premium golf trolleys, bags and accessories.
Sales of the remote controlled X-Series have increased significantly after a reduction in the RRP to £999 (from £1200) and the inclusion of an all-new lightweight lithium battery as standard. The X7 Lithium was launched in April, and Stewart Golf's UK production facility has been hard pressed to keep up with demand as sales of the model surged by almost 65% against 2010 figures.
The new Z1 Push trolley has also proved to be a great success, particularly among the retail trade. The Z1 and other products including our W1 Waterproof Stand Bag have helped domestic retail sales increase by almost three times.
Stewart Golf has also seen a sharp rise in exports in 2011. Non-UK business accounted for 30% of sales, up from less than 10% in 2010, proving that the brand has great potential for further overseas growth.
Stewart Golf MD Mark Stewart said, "Obviously we are thrilled with these results, especially in this economic climate where many companies would be content just to survive.
“We expanded our product range significantly for 2011 and this has made a big impact. I am particularly pleased with our growth in retail stores in the UK, where the Z1 Push especially has proved very popular. To triple our UK trade business in one year is fantastic.
“It is also encouraging that the new X7 Lithium has sold so well. It shows that there is always a market for quality & innovation, something that we have always strongly believed in.”
Stewart Golf Post Best Ever Monthly Output
May 3, 2011
April 2011 saw Gloucestershire based manufacturer Stewart Golf record its best ever monthly sales & production figures, more than doubling its previous record month.
April’s record output was mostly made up of the new X7 Lithium (£999) powered trolley as well as impressive sales of the new Z1 Push Trolley (£179). Exports of the new X7 Lithium and accessories accounted for almost 50% of output, proving that the British Stewart Golf brand has strong international appeal.
The X7 Lithium was announced in March, succeeding the popular X5 Remote. The X7 includes a state-of-the-art lithium battery pack as standard, and retails for £999 (a reduction on the X5 Remote which sold for £1149). The X7’s power system has also been refined to allow it to operate up to 25% more efficiently on the golf course.
Stewart Golf MD Mark Stewart said, “To have smashed our previous record so comprehensively is a fantastic achievement. Including the lithium battery as standard in the X7 has proved to be a sound decision as the reaction has been tremendous. Our extended range of products has also sold very well, especially the new Z1 Push as well as our new golf bags.
“We are a small team at Stewart Golf and everyone has worked hard to ensure that all orders were despatched on time, despite volumes increasing so dramatically. Our production team deserve special praise for their effort and commitment.”
Golf International Review The Z1 Push
Nov/Dec 2010 Issue
Ironically, the most interesting new push trolley for 2011 is from powered specialist, Stewart Golf, better known for its Porsche-like F1 Lithium and X5 Remote models.
The Stewart Golf Z1 still has the slick style and design that you'd expect from Stewart, with a simple two step folding mechanism and three quick release wheels that downsize it into a tiny space. It has a height adjustable handle with various accessory holders and adjustable bag jaws designed to hold any bag - including Stewart's own range for next season.
Today's Golfer Trolley Test Results
06 October 2010
The UK's largest selling golf magazine has released the results of it's latest extensive powered trolley test, and it's great news for the Stewart Golf X5 Remote. After a 4 day test at the Belfry where 12 trolleys were tested by 4 different golfers, the TG test verdict read as follows:
"Dave got it spot on when he said the X5 was 'the ultimate boys toy'. The sturdy base, which encases the battery, gives the trolley a super-solid feel and the remote control works from a lengthy distance. But not everyone can afford a Ferrari, and the X5 is undoubtedly the Ferrari of electric golf trolleys. If you've got £1,200 to splash on one of these, then you certainly won't be disappointed."
Final ratings: Looks: 4.5/5. Ease of use: 4.5/5. Ease of assembly: 5/5. Functions: 4.5/5. Performance 4.5/5.
Final comment: Rock Solid. The superb base and remote makes this the Ferrari of the power trolley world. Excellent.

Survey Results Revealed
13 July 2009
Thought that new driver was the best way to cut your handicap? A new survey from Stewart Golf has revealed the simplest way to cut over 3 strokes from your round without buying any new clubs, taking lessons or even practicing.
Stewart Golf powered trolleys are specifically designed to be remote controlled, and as a consequence benefit from excellent balance which is obviously essential on the hilly golf courses of the UK. The NASA-derived control system makes the machine easy to control, meaning all the user has to do is focus on their game. Over 60% of Stewart Golf customers highlighted that their handicap has improved since using a Stewart Golf trolley, with the average improvement 3 strokes. 75% of Stewart Golf customers who previously carried their golf clubs have improved their golf game handicap by 3.6 strokes since using their Stewart Golf trolley. The average handicap is 13.6.
A third of Stewart Golf customers claim that they are now able to complete more holes of golf since using their Stewart Golf trolley. Not only this, but over 30% also highlighted that they felt that their overall fitness level had improved since using their Stewart Golf trolley. Stewart Golf MD, Mark Stewart said, “Golfers often focus on trying to achieve that extra 5 or 10 yards on their drive but rarely think of how fresh they are when walking down the 18th.
Using a remote controlled trolley takes all the strain of carrying or pulling a golf bag, and the remote actually adds to the enjoyment of the round. Our customers walk the golf course like Tiger does, walking with an excellent posture and thinking only about his next shot.” Stewart Golf has consulted the BCA (British Chiropractic Association) to ensure its customers enjoy safe golfing. Tim Hutchful (BCA Chiropractor and keen golfer) says: “A healthy back will improve your swing – there is no question of that. Simple factors such as dehydration should also be watched out for as this also causes early fatigue and a lack of concentration, leading the golfer to compensate by adjusting the swing; thus increasing the risk of injury.”
SG at Number 10 Reception
24 June 2009
Stewart Golf MD Mark Stewart recently attended a reception at 10 Downing Street to recognise the continued innovation and growth of Stewart Golf.
The Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Business Secretary Lord Mandelson hosted a reception for a selection of Britain’s most innovative entrepreneurs at Downing Street to recognise their contribution to business. The event brought together 150 entrepreneurs from a range of sectors and backgrounds. While the world’s economies have been going through the most turbulent period ever seen, Stewart Golf has continued to develop new products and grow sales. The new £2500 F1 Lithium golf trolley has won the company two design awards and has been instrumental in helping the company to a 30% growth in like for like sales, with exports also growing steadily.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said at the reception: "I want to thank each of you individually for making the big decision to start a business, for taking the risk to do so, for making all the effort that has made your business a success. For showing the ambition and the aspiration to do something not just for yourself but for people whom you employ, and in that way to make our country a stronger and better place.”
Business Secretary, Lord Mandelson went on to say: "Britain’s entrepreneurs have the skills, resources and knowledge base to lead us out of the downturn. This reception is an opportunity to hear first hand from those entrepreneurs and businesses owners who have shown great enterprise and flair in ensuring that their businesses are successful in the current climate.”
Stewart Golf Managing Director, Mark Stewart said: “It was a tremendous honour to be invited to a reception for entrepreneurs at Number 10. Stewart Golf continues to grow even in these difficult times and I can only put that down to the continued innovation, persistence and sheer hard work of the whole team. We’re not resting on our laurels though; we have great plans for the coming years to build on that growth.”
F1 in Product Awards.
5 October 2008
The Stewart Golf F1 Lithium has been selected for a product innovation award by the jury at Golf Europe in Munich.
Golf Europe is the continents largest trade-only show and takes place in Munich every October to showcase the latest products that will be on the market in 2009. The show was also the European launch for the new F1 Lithium in a very competitive environment. The number of powered trolley companies increases every year and competition at the very top of the market is fierce with a number of products retailing for over 4000 Euros, so it was especially sweet to be selected for a product award by the specially selected jury of experts from the German golf industry. The F1 Lithium was given the award for 'outstanding achievements in product design and development.'
